When I was a "child", I fell in love with my best friend. We did everything together—and loved the same things: nature, music, art, cozy beds, forts and magical things... When you saw one, you saw the other. The trouble was that I gradually began to believe that I was not good enough: something was wrong with me... because I was not as lovely, wonderful, good and great as her...and others. That blossomed into a pattern of self doubt—that walked close by for many years.
